About Us

PATTi'S QUiLTiNG & FABRiCS is located on Route 9 in Glens Falls, NY - Hometown USA - which is half way between Saratoga Springs and Lake George.  We are a couple hours drive from Canada, maybe an hour from Vermont, and just on the southern tip of the Adirondacks.  I have been in business for more than ten years, starting from my home as a professional long-arm quilting service and over the course of four years running out of space and opening the shop.  We are in our seventh year at our present location, and since we own the building, plan on being here a very long time to come.

We are a full service Quilt Shop, as well as a Professional Long-arm Quilting Service.  I have been a quilter for more than two decades and a long-arm professional for eleven of those years.  Pantographs or edge-to-edge quilting is our specialty with some free hand stipple/meander on small wall hangings and table runners.

As an Exclusive Janome Sewing Machine Dealer and a Sewing Machine Repair Service we have over 18 Janome sewing machine models on display.  Brian, our own on staff sewing machine repair man (my husband), is fully certified on all Janome sewing machines.  Brian services all brands of sewing machines including the Singer Featherweights.

Our shop provides friendly service and enjoys helping all our friends find the perfect fabric, book, pattern, notion or put together that perfect project.  We especially enjoy helping the beginner quilter get started and provide basic quilting classes as well as many free sewing sessions for all our customers.  Karen and I host four Quilt Retreats a year in partnership with the Wingate Inn located in beautiful Lake George, NY.

My staff includes six great women with more years of quilting experience than any of them might care to admit.  There is Karen and Kristina, our full-time professional long-arm quilters with more than 15 years of combined long-arm quilting experience between them.  Karen is also our Quilt Retreat professional.  Pat, is our teacher, sample maker and a retired quilt shop owner.  Lois, also a teacher and sample maker and Liz both carry the title of "Janome Sewing Machine Experts", Anne is a whiz at cutting up our kits and making sure everything is running smoothly for our classes while Heather, our newest staff member and new quilter is learning the ropes at record speed.  Last is Patti (me) who gets to think she owns the place.

We love Moda Fabrics and carry a lot of it!  Holly Taylor, Sandy Grevais, Kathy Schmitz, Kansas Trouble Quilters, Braddock & Patek and any other Moda line that might catch my fancy.  We have Windham, Benartex, Andover Fabrics, Red Rooster, Maywood Studios, Hoffman Batiks and more.  The best way to describe the shop is you never know what we might have because if we see something we like, I usually buy it.  Our shop is known for its Adirondack Prints, we have a room just for our flannels and we carry the largest selection of 108" wide backing fabrics in the area.

PATTi'S QUiLTiNG & FABRiCS is located in a beautiful Glens Falls home built in 1928.  It has a warm North Country feel that keeps bringing our customers back.  We are a two story shop which includes four rooms on the main floor as well as a large and spacious room downstairs which is where you will find our Long-Arm Quilting Machine, our large selection of Children's fabrics and our Sale Area.

We have samples everywhere that showcase our current kits and patterns.  When we are done with them they go to our gift area for sale.  We can have more than a dozen previous samples for sale at any given time.  We are also proud to be a carrier of Sweet Jane's Quilting & Designs by Sue Pfau our local pattern designer.  You can view samples of her designs hanging on our walls.
